The fix is boring discipline: test-fit everything first, use real hardware instead of only the double-sided tape in the box, warm the surfaces before tape goes on, and measure twice anywhere a drill comes out. Your car ends up looking like the render, not the cautionary thread.
I stay in my lane here too: I bolt on and fit, I do not paint, wrap or cut bodywork. If your part needs paint first, get it painted, then I fit it. That order matters and I would rather tell you than have you find out.

Yes, and nervous in the right way. Drilling a trunk lid is permanent, so it gets templated, measured against the centreline repeatedly, taped, pilot-drilled and sealed against rust before the spoiler ever touches it. That is also why drilled installs cost more than tape-on ones: you are paying for the part where I refuse to rush.
