Not in my five cities? I still come to you.

Mississauga, Oakville, Milton, Brampton and Etobicoke are where I am most days, and there is no travel fee in any of them. Past those cities I still come out. The only thing that changes is the drive, so the drive gets a flat price of its own, and you see it inside your quote before you agree to anything.

What the trip costs

No travel fee in Mississauga, Oakville, Milton, Brampton and Etobicoke. That is where I am most days. Past those cities the drive is the real cost, so it is priced, not guessed.

Past about an hour and a half each way, the drive costs you more than the repair saves you. Message me anyway and I'll tell you straight, usually I'll point you at someone closer who'll do it right.

Why the drive has a price on it

It is not the gas. It is the hours.

I work out of a van and I do a handful of jobs a day. An hour on the highway to you and an hour back is a job I cannot do for somebody else, so pretending the drive is free would just mean quietly padding your repair to cover it. I would rather show you the number.

It goes in the quote, not on the bill afterwards

Same rule as everything else here. You get one flat price in writing before I touch a bolt, and the travel is already inside it.

No mileage meter, no fuel surcharge, no line that shows up at the end. If I quote it, that is the number you pay.

The bigger the job, the less the drive matters

The travel fee comes off once the work itself is big enough to be worth the trip on its own. A full brake job, suspension, a water pump, a no-start that turns into a real repair, those all clear it easily.

So if you are booking the kind of repair a shop quoted you four figures for, the drive is usually free.

When I will tell you not to book me

Past about an hour and a half each way, I am the wrong call and I will say so. At that distance you are paying more for my windshield time than you are saving on the repair, and you should not do that.

Same goes for a small job at a long distance. If you need a battery dropped in and you are an hour out, the honest answer is that somebody closer should do it. I would rather point you there than take the money.

What customers say

Five-star Google reviews, quoted in full.

“Fares did some major repairs on my GTI, including brakes, rear main seal and transmission fluid change. He is professional, capable and courteous. Despite the terrible weather he persevered, and got the job done. Very happy with his work.”Google review, five stars, August 2026
“Fares came by and did the brakes on my 2021 Lexus RX350. I got quoted way more at a shop so I decided to try a mobile mechanic instead. He showed up on time, did the work in my driveway, and everything went smoothly.”Google review, five stars, 2021 Lexus RX350
“Wonderful and quick experience, charged me way less than the dealer and he did the work in my driveway in the cold. I really appreciate all the hard work.”Google review, five stars
