Where the cars are. Toronto sales are private sellers at houses and condos, and dealer lots across the city. Fares goes to the car, whichever it is. In Etobicoke the Queensway is the biggest dealer row in this half of the GTA, with franchise and independent lots almost end to end.
The parking reality. Many Toronto sales happen in a condo garage, on a permit street or in a laneway. The inspection is a measure-and-look job with the car on its own wheels, so it works in all of those, but it helps to ask the seller to meet at street level or in visitor parking, which often runs on a timer and a fob you do not have.
What Toronto does to a car. Stop-and-go downtown driving works brakes hard, the Gardiner, Don Valley Parkway and 401 add salt spray and hard stops from speed, and rust shows underneath long before the paint. Brake, subframe seams, rocker pinch welds and brake lines are worth the closest look on anything older.
Choose a package, add the car and the seller's Toronto address, and pick an open window. The booking records the location so the travel line, if any, is agreed in writing before you confirm.
The ask is small: about an hour where the car already sits, nothing taken apart, the keys stay with the seller, and they get a copy of the report. Tell them early if the car is in a condo garage so you can agree a meeting spot.
