A front-suspension day,
$1,400 flat, in the owner’s driveway.

Late May 2026. The classic story: clunking over bumps, a wander in the steering, and a shop quote that made the owner want a second opinion before anyone touched the car. He got one flat number, $1,400, before a single bolt moved, and that’s what he paid. There’s video of this one below.

The visitMay 2026, the owner's own driveway, same day
The complaintClunking over bumps, loose steering feel
The workFront suspension refresh, front-end wear components replaced in one visit
The number$1,400 flat, agreed before any work, honoured to the dollar
TurnaroundSame day, old parts handed back, test drive

See it, don’t just take my word for it

Watch this job: the front end coming apart, on InstagramFilmed during this visit and posted the day after the job. Judge the wear, and the work, with your own eyes.
Check that number against the published card. $1,400 sits inside the Suspension range published for everyone, $350–$1500, which is dated and machine-readable at /data/consumer-rate-card.json and printed on the pricing page. If the work I do for my own customers sat above the range I advertise publicly, that file would give me away.

How it went

  1. 1The message. He described the clunk and where it happened through the site, no phone tag, no “bring it in and we’ll see.”
  2. 2The honest read. Worn front-end components, common on GTA roads, and exactly the kind of job shops love to quote high because most people can’t see the parts. He got the flat $1,400 before a single bolt moved, parts and labour together, with nothing added at the end.
  3. 3The work. Parts arrived with me. The car never left his driveway. He could watch any part of it, that’s the point of doing it there. Some of it is on camera, the video on this page is from this exact visit.
  4. 4The handover. Old parts in his hands, so he could see the wear with his own eyes. Test drive. Done, same day.
Why this job matters: suspension is high-stakes trust. You can’t easily verify the parts or the labour, which is why I flat-quote it first, name the exact parts before you approve them, do it where you can watch, and hand the old parts back after. The process IS the proof. It’s also covered: 90 days or 5,000 km on workmanship, and after front-end work I’ll tell you plainly that the steering geometry should be checked on a proper rack, roughly what that costs, and that a rack is one of the things I don’t do in a driveway.
