Newmarket is at the top of the 404 corridor, and it shows in the vehicles up here — pickup trucks are everywhere, older vehicles are common, and the commute down to the city is a daily grind on brakes and suspension. I make the drive north to fix it at your door.
Newmarket is one of the northernmost cities I regularly cover, sitting at the top of the 404 corridor in York Region. The drive from Mississauga takes about 60–70 minutes, but for Newmarket residents who want their car serviced at home without hauling it to a shop, it's worth it — and I come prepared with parts on the truck.
The vehicle mix in Newmarket is different from downtown GTA cities. More pickup trucks — F-150s, RAMs, Silverados. More older vehicles that residents have kept running because they work well enough. And more semi-rural road conditions: side streets that don't always get prompt maintenance, occasional gravel roads, and the kind of winter conditions that are rougher than what you'd get in Etobicoke or Mississauga.
People in places like Stonehaven and Armitage are used to looking after things themselves. A mobile mechanic fits that mentality — you deal with the job where you are, and you move on.
High-mileage trucks that need attention. A working F-150 or RAM in Newmarket often has 150,000–250,000+ km on it. Brakes, shocks, ball joints, and the occasional oil leak are all common. I don't red-flag trucks unnecessarily — I tell you what actually needs doing and what can wait.
400/404 highway commute wear. The 400 from Newmarket to the 401 is a long haul. Daily high-speed highway driving means front brakes wear evenly but fast, and struts on heavier vehicles need more frequent attention than the service manual suggests.
Older vehicles that are still worth maintaining. Not everyone in Newmarket wants a new car payment. I see a lot of 2005–2015 vehicles that just need an oil change, some new pads, and maybe a strut to keep going reliably. I do that work properly and don't make you feel like you should be driving something newer.

It's the furthest north I regularly go in York Region — about 60–70 minutes. I make the drive for the right jobs. Call me and we'll talk about what makes sense for your situation.
Brakes, suspension, and oil leaks are the most common on high-mileage trucks. I'll assess when I arrive and tell you what actually needs doing — not everything at once.
Absolutely. Older vehicles are a big part of what I do in Newmarket. Parts are easier to source and the work is often more straightforward. If it runs, it's worth maintaining properly.
Yes. Stonehaven, Summerhill Estates, Gorham-College Manor, Armitage — I cover all of Newmarket. Just give me the address.
